SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD ANNOUNCES REGULATORY REFORM OFFICER
Acting Chairman Ann D. Begeman announced today that Rachel D. Campbell, Director of the Office of Proceedings, has been designated as the agency’s Regulatory Reform Officer. Director Campbell will lead the Board’s effort to identify rules and practices that are burdensome, unnecessary, or outdated, and to recommend how they should be modified. The designation of a Regulatory Reform Officer is consistent with the spirit of Executive Order 13,777, issued by President Donald J. Trump on regulatory reform, and with ongoing agency regulatory and process review initiatives.
“Director Campbell’s designation as our Regulatory Reform Officer will help further the Board’s goal of making the agency more accountable to both our stakeholders and the public,” said Acting Chairman Begeman. “I commend Rachel for the enthusiasm and depth of experience she brings to this important undertaking.”
