SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD UPDATES ITS USER-FEE SCHEDULE
The Surface Transportation Board today announced its latest update of fees the public must pay to file certain cases and pleadings with the Board. In comparison to the STB’s 2014 fee update, 58 fees remain unchanged, 11 fees increased by $50 or less, 34 fees increased by $100, and 22 fees increased by more than $100.
The Board is required by regulation to update its user fees at least once per year. This allows for the consideration of current year costs (direct, overhead and fringe benefit) over last year as part of its fee calculation. To facilitate comparison, the Board charted both FY 2014 and FY 2015 fees in Appendix C of its decision today in
