FIRST VOLUME OF "SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD REPORTS" NOW AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY OR FOR HARDCOVER SALE

The Surface Transportation Board (Board) announced today that Volume 1 of Surface Transportation Board Reports is now available free of charge from the Board's website on the Internet. The electronic version of Volume 1 may be viewed by accessing the Board's website at www.stb.dot.gov, by clicking "Publications" on the home page, and then by clicking "STB Reports--Volume 1" from among the publications offerings. The electronic contents of Volume 1 are stored in "PDF" format requiring the use of an Adobe Acrobat reader to view or print using a computer printer.

Volume 1 also may be purchased through U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) bookstores nationwide or from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C., order-desk telephone number (202) 512-1800. Volume 1 is priced at $72. Payment may be made by check or money order made payable to the "Superintendent of Documents," or by charge to GPO Deposit Account, VISA, MasterCard, or Discover. The Board anticipates that Volume 2 of Surface Transportation Board Reports will be published in December 1999.
