SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD TO HOLD NOV. 14 ORAL ARGUMENT

The Surface Transportation Board announced today that it will hold an oral argument on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at its Washington, D.C. headquarters.

The oral argument will address the Intermountain Power Agency's (IPA's) complaint challenging the reasonableness of the Union Pacific Railroad Company's rates for unit-train coal transportation service from an interchange point with the Utah Railway Company at Provo, Utah, to IPA's electric-generating facilities at Lynndyl, Utah.

The oral argument will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the hearing room at the Board's headquarters at the Patriots Plaza I building, 395 E Street, S.W., in Washington, D.C. Though the oral argument is open to the public, only counsel for the parties will be permitted to present arguments.

The Board announced the oral argument today in its decision in Intermountain Power Agency v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, NOR 42136.

A live video broadcast of the oral argument will be available via the Board's website, at http://www.stb.dot.gov, under "Information Center/Webcast/Live Video" on the home page.
